Man i miss the excitement of that game coming out. They really blew it by not having Fallout 5 ready when the TV show launched, it would have sold incredible numbers when so many people who discovered Fallout for the first time through the show all jumped on the bandwagon and picked up FO4 and 76, craving to be part of the action. That buzz will be long gone by the time 5 arrives, if it ever does.

Started playing this yesterday. Never played before ever. I am enjoying it. Edit, I take it back I don’t like the game I cannot play anymore the story sucks the missions suck no choices or consequences settlement building stuff is boring, I need grit and dark story’s emotional subjects this game is like a kids game the dialogue is god awful the speech checks don’t even make sense !!!!! Overall it’s just very shallow and the story’s non sensical, feels like a kids game. So now I’m playing a proper rpg baldurs gate EE.

One thing i'll always respect about Todd, "I think people talk about their games too early". I couldn't agree more. The last decade it's become the norm to reveal a game years away from release. And worse, they have the nerve to put up preorders years before release. When a game is shown at an event and its release is planned more than a year away I completely ignore it. At least when Todd talks about a game it's about a year away.

I hate the (ironic as it is) lying lie. Everything presented here is exactly what it is in-game. Hate the game, whatever, but calling him a liar is just frustrating

I'm back again in 2024 and this is fantastic.

2024 and they still haven't got the game running right or completed....they just screwed it up with an update noone really wanted and they still charge you to play 76 by yourself because their Multi-player is chaotic garbage.

Dude this was 8 years ago 8 DUDE 8 I feel like I was just fan boying over this conference yesterday. I watched this conference over and over just to see the fallout 4 sneak peak and I ended up playing the game for an all of 23 hours never to touch it again. It didn’t feel like fallout . Idk what it was but it didn’t feel like the fallout that I knew

Watching this eight years later I get goosebumps when the artworks and the main theme sets in @4:14. All "it just works" jokes aside they really showed what the game later delivered.

The problem with this game is that its 16x less detailed than Fallout 76.

I wish we could combine the New Vegas story/setting but with the F4 mechanics. That would be a crazy fun game specially when you add mods to it.

I wish we still had these sort of innovators creating new concepts. Felt like things were going a million miles a second back then, now almost every popular game is essentially just a clone of games that have existed for 20 years. Lots of them are great games of course, but they're just not new games.
